I shall follow

Winter is not becoming, though a blanket does it lay,
to brighten the landscape and protect the memories of yesterday.

The winds do not whisper, they roar with a mighty rage, to tell
the story of the darkness and tales of gray.

The willow no longer weeps, the sky no longer dim, for just one
thought of your love and I removed from this earthly sin.

My heart I have given, my soul it knows so very well that
each day with you is heaven and I see know signs of hell.

If shades of sadness should wander and my spirit lost
in the fog of the day, all I need but close my eyes and
allow your love to lead the way.

Snowflakes fallen from my dreams...

Snowflakes are falling on the hemlock green and my heart calling to you from a dream. Late Autumn dressed in a winter shade, blankets the hills for just one day. I succommed to the moment of breathless desire as my heart in flames melts the snow with fire. Replacing the scene of a winter day your smile brings the sunshine my way.

Have Faith

I have to say that over the years I have done what I thought was right. Master at sweeping the negativity under the carpet. It was just easier to smooth a rocky path then to stumble and fall and then have to worry about how to get up. Unfortunately I remained distant from myself, losing bit my bit a dimension of my inner being. It wasn't the cliche or old adage" of finding oneself" it became more about accepting oneself, defending oneself, believing in one self and loving oneself. Many times I believed the hollow contained trees that were the barriers to the outside world, when I later realized that the barriers are only set in place by our own weakness, our self made limitations. Today's preview of spring wakened something inside, like a removal of winters curtain. I felt the renewal encourage life, bringing faith and hope to the forefront.
It took years to erode away at independence and it is taking years to mend and instill confidence to achieve at the highest levels of success. No particular measurement can be placed on the road to success, but when all becomes clear and the path is not filled with indecisiveness then I will find the enlightment of strength that creates the ultimate in freedom.

Fear builds walls, faith takes them down.
~
When I think of all the gifts I have been given, my personal satisfaction is in the gift to write. To see love brings such beauty, to touch love reaches deep in my heart, to share love exudes from my soul the warmth of a thousand suns. Alone the words are wonderful, together with your love they are magnifcent.

My Gratitude

Looking foward to the 2008 events and the sounds and smells of spring. A schedule will be posted the later part of February. Will update frequently as engagements are secured.
~
There are times that you wish you knew what tomorrow will bring and then not. It could possibly be partly the season and the dark days of winter. I look ahead to the possibilities and all that we are capable of performing in the months ahead.

I cannot move ahead without giving my gratitude for all those who have made it possible for me to continue on with the endeavors of reaching out and meeting and enjoying the many new faces. Though one person has remained loyal, filled with compassion and encouragement and though I would love to shout his praise, I think it is better that he just know I am thankful and appreciate and hope that I can fill his expectations of me. At times I am flustered to what direction this journey is taking and why. It started on many levels, capability, love, survival and has reached even further then expected. At first it was about my own existence and leaving behind a message, some would say a legacy. I had thought that there were many avenues I could have taken, but I chose love or was it love that chose me?

On my so called journey I met with many people, each revealed personal stories, triumps, losses, illness, heartbreak. It became evident to me, the titles of the stories different and a wide range of characters but the movement was in the emotions stirred. There were only so many emotions and they bring us together as human beings. I wanted to touch mostly on those that encouraged good thoughts and love, but I found more then enough times poeple wanted words that helped to over come a time of grief.

Sometimes the hills of Greene celebrate so in silence and other times it echo's loudly, I can't explain the unsettlingness of it all. I do know that life and the simplest moments are magnificent when shared. For without the love of another it all would be empty and cold. An embrace that holds close both day and night energizes the spirit to encourage the soul to strive for more as it reaches beyond barriers set by both time and space.

Gently

A string of stars embrace the night sky,
a song of sorrow sings to the soul.
~
A shelf of memories gather dust
rainbows, shadows and marigolds.
~
Gently
Gently held your memory,
tucked it in my heart.
~
Kissed you in a dream,
on a northern star.
~
Whispered your name in the
dark of night, heard it echo
back to me from the morning
sky.
~
Danced each morning in your
warm embrace,surreal as could
be, until you began to fade.
~
Laughs, cries, smiles, denies.
A heart woven of embroidered lace
stitches the many dreams of one soul.
Why such emptiness and darkness whispered the wind to surrounding mountain of trees? Why do your branches weep with the heaviness of a loss of a thousand multiplied by three? We heard it in the morning her heart silent as the day but becoming louder as the waves of an early storm hits against the rocks at sea. We saw it in her face as the smile began to fade and all that remained were the tears of yesterday. We felt it in the loss of her free spirited soul, as it remained entrapped by dark and dreary days of old.

Love is...

I don' t believe love can conform to the walls of reality and the visuals of fantasy without first reviewing the essential ingredients. The assumption of what is acceptable is unexplainable beyond the realms in a spiritual sense. Love can be attained by defining through a synopsis of life. In a quick summary love is time without limitation, place without structure and emotions without a predestined cap. Finely blended with an equal balance of trust and respect love is that which pulls at the heart to teach the soul to soar depths incomparable by any measure.
~
Love is neither a game nor a need, it is in consive terms that which needs no forgiveness nor feels no ache for it is our being that walks in the shadow of desire.
